It’s true. I mean look at earth. Take care of it? A little? Jeez. But I guess it’s our responsibility? That’s the thing.
Anyway. This is god’s sarcastic response to not only his son’s insistence on playing the victim, but also the way humanity blames god/celestial beings for what we perceive to be the curses of existing. While we whine of personal ache and global suffering, God mocks our complaints. He sees us as his ungrateful children because he has given us the greatest gift (being, at all).
The Spanish part points to a track by Mexican rap group Cartel de Santa. It translates, pretty much, to: “if they come to tell you bad things about me, tell them yes, that I told you that I was.” As in “yeah. duh.” This goes doubly for Lucifer - as in, sure. Vilify me. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I think it’s pretty clear how this relates to my life; few nice things have been said about me until fairly recently. I’ve been called manipulative, unstable, etc. A liar. That’s where Medusa came from. It has been suggested my queerness is an invention for entertainment /attention. I found solace in being the villain people needed me to be. I realized now I martyred myself about it. Bit childish.
lyrics
Are you done now
Rat rat rat rat rat
Woohoo
Rat rat rat rat rat
Bang bang bang bang bang
Sucker
It’s all true, i’m the worst
Cry about it, how it h-h-h-h-hurts
Run around saying birth is a curse
Til inert in the dirt,
Man, I’m so overworked
And now you’re so ungrateful
You said your plate’s too full
But your plate’s full
Mama made you so disgraceful
No seat for you at the table
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Sucker
Rat rat rat rat rat
Rat rat rat rat rat
Bang bang bang bang bang
Rat rat rat rat rat
Rat rat rat rat rat
Bang bang bang bang bang
Sucker
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui
Si te vienen a contar cositas malas de mí
Diles que sí, que yo te dije que sí fui

Are you new here, boss
I’ve been here since the lights came on
Are you new here, boss
I’ve been here since the lights came on
Brand new match wanna strike, flame on
But I’ve been here since the lights came on
Brand new man wanna fight, game on
But I’ve been playin since the lights came on
Medusa is a "revenge pop" musician based in New York. They're pretty sure they subconsciously stole calling their music "___-pop" from their friend Zand, who coined "ugly-pop," but it's way too late in the game to undo it now.

continuing from FIYH, this is blackpilled as all fuck; written and delivered with the raw candidness and self-mocking bitterness of a high-schoolers journal, and set to beats that are laser-focused to keep my distractable mind topped up on angry dopamine. A tight 21 minutes of weaponised disgust. Tom Colquhoun
