From lust to anger. This track is pretty straightforward, but definitely to its benefit. I wrote it thinking about celebrities, musicians, and politicians who are sexually predatory but still get to keep their careers. It’s both a direct challenge to their fame and a question for their supporters: are you gonna say anything about this or what?

Part of the refrain is “I know what you did” - as in we know what you did and we aren’t going to forget about it just because we like the work you produce. Being famous shouldn’t be a get-out-of-jail-free card and we are starting to realize this as a society. See: Weinstein, etc. But we still have a lot of work to do.

I shaped these synths myself (like most on the album) but this is of note because I was inspired to do so in the first place because of Sophie. I think you can hear her stylistic influence in how aggressive but minimal this track is, production-wise.

This track is also our hero going: oh, so you're supposed to be god? You let all this happen, and then you're supposed to be god? Give me a break.

Anyway, if this song sounds like a threat, it's because it's supposed to.
